- I believe we have established a responsible framework for managing growth, that aligns with the province’s legislative priorities relating to housing. I will remain diligent in protecting our community’s rural character while supporting appropriate new housing and ensuring that growth is properly planned, serviced and financially sustainable.
Complete the Growth Management Study to establish a clear, evidence-based approach to where and how growth should occur.
Complete the Official Plan Review to ensure our long-term planning framework reflects community needs and provincial requirements.
Complete the Zoning By-law Update to provide clear, consistent rules for development while protecting existing neighbourhoods and rural character.
Support new housing responsibly by encouraging a range of housing options, including seniors housing, while ensuring development is suitable for the character and servicing capacity of our communities
