I am Ryan Huntley and I would like, first of all, to thank you for entrusting me with the hounor and privilege of representing you for the last 2 terms on Council.  I live in Cavan Monaghan because I see what it has to offer for my family and yours.  My kids started their education at Millbrook South Cavan Public School, and are now going to the Crestwood schools.  It is important that our children be proud of where they are from, and we can help them prosper in our community.    

    I first got into municipal politics because I, like so many, fell instantly in love with this community and wanted to actively contribute.  I am very happy that I did, as I have met so many wonderful people and believe I have made a positive difference.  We all share a deep appreciation for this special place and want it to be a place our future generations are proud to call home. 

    The role of a councillor does not lie only in representing their own ward.  A councillor works for the good of the greater township.  I am aware that decisions that may be specific to a particular ward often have implications across the township.  It's with this lens that I will continue to serve our community.  I am looking for your continued support now, as I run for Deputy Mayor of Cavan Monaghan. 

    For the last 8 years I have been very fortunate to have been a part of the Council for the  Township of Cavan Monaghan.  As a Council and as a community we have faced a wide variety of issues and challenges which we have been able to navigate together.  I personally have learned  a great deal about the workings of municipal governments, interest groups, developers, partner agencies and most importantly, You!  I believe I can continue to utilize my learnings to serve our community even better in the expanded role of Deputy Mayor.
